Here comes the sun

Updated: Mar 1, 2019

As I sit here writing this blog post, I am looking out the window at the last light of a gorgeous, sunny day! The weather is mild and I'm sure you can already smell Spring! Could this be an early end to Winter? (touch wood!)

No doubt your mind is already wandering to your gardening plans for the year. Perhaps you have a vision of a beautiful landscape of colours and scents that will encourage wildlife and provide relaxation after a hard day's work. We are well-placed to help you realise your dreams and transform your outdoor spaces into beautiful environments to be enjoyed. With our wealth of local experience in soft landscaping, we can help you choose a design that fits your needs and lifestyle.

Perhaps you'd like to try a spot of growing this year, in which case, why not get started now. Late February is the ideal time to check the soil of your allocated veggie plot and apply the amount of lime required to make your soil more alkaline, which is better suited to growing brassicas (Brussels sprouts, cabbages and cauliflowers). Perhaps you'd love to grow raspberries or blackberries, in which case now is a great time to plant bare-rooted cane fruits to get them well-established ready for a great crop next year (well worth the wait). If you're not sure how to go about any of the above, we'd be happy to pay you a visit to help you get going.

Whatever your vision for your garden - beauty, function, relaxation - we hope we can help you with your project, so please get in touch. Our email address and telephone number can be found at the top of this page. We work across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, including St Albans, Harpenden, Letchworth Garden City, Luton, Dunstable, Borehamwood, Hitchin and Wheathampstead.
